Loosing weigh

I read somewhere recently about obesity in Malaysia. The number of overweight and obese children has reached epidemic levels in developed and newly industrialised countries such as US, UK and countries in EU. Obesity and weighproblem has started in developing countries including Malaysia.

Malaysia has undergone a transition from under-nutrition to relative over-nutrition within a period of 30 years. For example, from the early 1990s to 2000, the reported incidence of underweight Malaysian children has dropped from 55% to 14.4% while the number of overweight children has increased from approximately 4% to 9.8%, with at least 7.3% of cases from the city of Kuala Lumpur.

Today, within a few minutes walking on the street, you can easily find 10 people who are either over weigh or obese. I noticed this situation today. Once was when I was in Kuala Lumpur Sentral station area. I counted 10 over weigh people in less than 5 minutes. Just now, when I went to the night market or 'pasar malam' I counted more than 20 over weigh people. This is truely alarming. I watch the advice from health ministry in TVC and never realised how serious the situation until today.

Even I am already over weigh and in the process of loosing weigh for my health. With all the work stress, unhealthy eating lifestyle, late night munches and dinner taken an effects on my health. I tired easily and less active. So I decided to do something about it since about a month ago. I have a target and I'm going to stick to it before I become fat and obese.
