We always hear about customers being bully by taxi driver by over-charging them or set a fix price. The fix price always happened during night and wee hours when there are less taxis on the streets.
If you go to Pudu Raya station (now has been temporary allocated to Bukit Jalil) and KL Sentral, passengers arriving late night or early hours have to give in to the high fix price set by the taxi drivers. The taxi drivers always operates in group. The one in KLCC is the worse I've seen. The group operates in board daylights. Last I heard from the guard there is that the management can only advise customers but it's up to them to take a metered taxi or fix price taxi. Ladies and gentlemen, we should practise our rights as consumer more effectively because as long as there's a demand, this group will no dissappear but will grow bigger.
Among taxi drivers, some of them get bulied by other cabbies too. This mostly happened when there's a group of cabbies who operates on fixed price system. If there's a taxi driver willing to go by meter, the others will 'mark' him and hassle him the next time they see him. Some even purposely lower the fix price to piss off the metered taxi. As customers, who won't want to take a cheaper taxi, specially to the airport between midnight to 6am.
