Busy shopping for Chinese New Year

With the year of Tiger fast approaching, I'm busy shopping for the preparation. Nothing fancy, just something simple fotr the occasion. I bought some new year delights and gosh it cost a fortune! for a small container of pineapple tart, it cost about $15. Same goes with the cookies. No wonder everyone is owing so much of credit cards debts. Due to the crazy prices, I had to improvised a bit of my chinese goodies. Better make something easy and nice myself. OK, it's flipping through the recipe books and surfing online for simple receipes.
