Chinese New Year Rush

With Chinese New Year just a 2 days away, the crowd at hypermarket is pure madness. Cartons and cartons of beer in troller and new year cookies are flying off the shelf. Peanuts filled the baskets by shoppers getting ready for the festive occasion.

Fortune plants are selling like hot cakes and I was tempted to buy one too. Luckily I stop myself because I already have plants in my house and it's not neccessary to buy. Besides beer, shoppers were buying rice, oil, ice creams, canned fruit, canned soft drinks and imported vegetables.

This is the first time I'm celebrating Chinese New Year at my house. I'm excited too but want to do it the traditional way. Instead of canned drinks I prefer cordial drinks. I substitude peanuts with healthier nuts and just clean my house without the red everywhere.

Tomorrow will be the start of my Chinese New Year holiday. People said one shouldn't work during first day of new year and the event of the first day will represent your luck for the whole year. So forks, enjoy your Chinese New Year and make sure it's a splended first day of the new year.
