Day out at Mid Valley

Today I went to Mid Valley to do my Christmas shopping and surveying for a dining table and camera. I reached there at 11am and to my amazement, you can hardly see a square inch of floor. It was pack with people everywhere.

After taking early lunch, I headed to second floor to the furniture section and followed by the camera section. For the dining table, it turned out to be a dissapointment because the design and set available doesn't meet my requirement. I'm looking for something small, not for a big family.

The camera section was better. At least I found a reasonable price package for Canon 500D kit 2. I still have to look for the price in few shops before I make my decision. Of course, I have to save enough money too because it's just so expensive to buy a DSLR nowadays. Owning a DSLR feels like a luxurious item. That was the main reason I stop taking photos when I just started work. Time was really difficult back with the Asian economy crisis and the bubble burst. Even now, time is hard for most people. Luckily, in KL, we still see people spending money eating out. In a lot of countries, you hardly see people in a restaurant or a boutique or malls.

When I was about to go home, the crowd has trippled. The sad thing is that I saw 2 children lost their parents. There was a girl around 5 or 6 years old crying as she walk calling her mommy in the middle of a huge crowd. I saw someone was asking her something. A few minutes later, I saw a boy around 3 years old crying and feeling scared. At first I didn't noticed him because there were people everywhere. He just stood there and crying for his parents. There was a few young guys and one of them took the kid to the information counter. I didn't stay to see if both kids are safely with their parents as I was rushing for time. However, I would like to advise all parents out there, please don't let your kid walking alone when you're in a crowded place. Hold your kid's hand. Never walk in front of our kid and get carry away with your shopping that you lost your kid. I can't imagine how scared they must felt alone in the crowd. When children kidnapped or dissapeared, parents cried and plead on TV. Don't you think is too late? I hope the 2 parents realised this.
