Change of Management

A lot had happened for the past few months and we had a change of management. I'm no longer managing the company and we have a new GM. It required some getting used to because this is the first time I felt like I've fair my team. My friend said I've done my best and there's nothing wrong with my decision. It's for the best of the company.

In my position, I learned that sometimes I have to sacrify for the team and end of the day, it's better for all parties. Sometimes letting go doesn't mean you fail but it's part of the company progress. Although it's was difficult for me to accept it in the beginning, well, this is my first experience but after a month I realised this is not my doing. Climbing the corporate ladder means sometimes we need to make tough decisions that we don't like.

Reflected all the progress and achievement I've done for the company, I have done well. It's not easy to set up a company from nothing and push it to stablized within a year and became Malaysia top 10 commercial site within 2 years. The team has done an amazing job and work really hard to get where we are today. In the end, I think my decision to let go the management is the right one. Hopefully, the new management will be able to bring our company to the next level and start generating more revenue.

My job remain the same, still as busy as ever but I don't have to carry the company's sales KPI. This is a good thing. I learned that this is very difficult to do and it requires a lot of good business strategies and a well executed plans where all departments follow through it. Monitoring and re-adjustment is neccessary in the digital world. Unlike our fathers' days strategies and plans must constantly evolve and change to stay ahead. Adaptation is a must.

My Chinese New Year

Chinese New Year came and almost gone and this year was much more fun. The weather was nicer with less rain and I get to do some shopping for items I can't find in the city and managed to find some items cheaper in my hometown.

I managed to see few of my relatives and coursins and old time friends during Chinese New Year and surprising they still look the same. Not aging at all. I guess is less stressful there and everyone still look really young.

My pet ran away just before Chinese New Year but luckily she knew how to return home after hanging out for a week. She came home with mud all over her body and bruises from some fight. I think she gone out after being in the house for so long.

Now is back to work and I hope this year will be a better year for me. Last year ended badly.
